Stokke Xplory

For the last month or so, I’ve been lucky enough to thoroughly test out the Stokke® Xplory® Athleisure & Stokke® Xplory® Athleisure Carry Cot. They’re both fairly similar to original Stokke® Xplory®, but the Athleisure version is made with breathable materials and with some added ventilation for your baby’s increased comfort.

First off, the package that came included plenty of accessories right of the bat, so one order and you’re pretty much set for a stroll. Amongst the others, there’s plenty of covers, accessory bag, shopping bag, cupholder, rain cover and even a mosquito net. And if that’s not enough, there’s more available at the Stokke store (Including quite a few adapters for car seats – we got ourselves the Besafe ones).

Besides from regular Stokke® Xplory® chase and seat (which will come in handy later), we also got the Stokke® Xplory® Carry Cot which, of course, is where our strollers journey starts : )

So, let’s get to it – my favorite feature of the Xplory set – absolutely insane adjustability. Anything you put on the Xplory chassis is height-adjustable in a super wide range. The seat itself also has a wide angle adjustability and can be both forward- and parent-facing (and due to chassis design that’s done in a pretty cool and clever way). Even the handle is adjustable and that’s both in angle and height!

As mentioned before, Athleisure variants of both seat and a carrycot is done with some great breathing materials and has laser-cut holes for greater ventilation. And honestly, materials used are in general top notch, you can really feel that’s it’s a highest-class product. Everything seems to be really sturdy, but it still feels nice and soft – so you’re sure that your baby is in good hands. Even the plastics, which in other brands often get all scratched and squeaky after the first stroll – here, they are really high-quality and after over a month of constant use in not-so-gentle-terrain :) – still good as new. The main chases frame is done with metal, and I mean a really solid one.

And since we’re at the chassis – its design is absolutely gorgeous, clever and “different”. Everything “sits” on a single guide – there’s no traditional frame. Thanks to this clever design element, everything is so highly adjustable. Really great piece of engineering by Stokke! And it really catches an eye – some people are literally turning heads because that’s something they’ve never seen before.

Both carrycot and the seat are really well padded, ventilated and, I guess, comfortable. Emma instantly goes to sleep when put in it – and stays this way until we’re back home : )

Overall – I couldn’t recommend Stokke® Xplory® Athleisure & Stokke® Xplory® Athleisure Carry Cot more, I love pretty much everything about them – the design (both from the technical and visual standpoint), amazing adjustability and great fabrics. Really amazing and innovative piece of a product, following great standards and at the same time setting new revolutionary paths for the future. Go check them out!
